Crystal Palace Concert Bowl
Description
The Crystal Palace Concert Bowl was constructed in 1997, replacing a temporary structure of 1961 to maintain the tradition of music at the Crystal Palace that goes back to the mid-nineteenth century. It replaced an earlier bowl dating from 1961 and was used almost exclusively for music events. An attempt to revive the Concert Bowl in 2012 had to be abandoned due to structural problems with the platform.
