Will Tosh is Research Fellow and Lecturer at Shakespeare’s Globe in London. He teaches, writes about, and researches the literature and culture of Shakespeare’s England, and he works as a dramaturg with the Globe’s playwrights and theatre artists, where he also helps coordinate the Globe’s research mission and curates the Research in Action series of public scholarly workshops. He is the author of Playing Indoors: Staging Early Modern Drama in the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse (Bloomsbury Arden Shakespeare, 2018), and Male Friendship and Testimonies of Love in Shakespeare’s England (Palgrave Macmillan, 2016), which revealed the intimate social circle of the Elizabethan spy Anthony Bacon. Will is currently working on a book called Straight Acting: The Many Queer Lives of William Shakespeare, to be published by Sceptre (UK) and Basic (US) in 2023.
