Description
An account of the resource
John Young is the director of Grosvenor Park Open Air Theatre’s critically acclaimed 2021 production of <em>Merry Wives of Windsor</em>. John trained on the National Theatre Directors Course and is a former Resident Assistant Director at The Finborough Theatre. John is currently the Associate Artistic Director of Yet Another Carnival, a Resident Company at Storyhouse, Chester. It has also recently been announced that John will direct the 2023 Chester Mystery plays cycle.

Will Tosh is Research Fellow and Lecturer at <a href="https://www.shakespearesglobe.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Shakespeare’s Globe</a> in London. He teaches, writes about, and researches the literature and culture of Shakespeare’s England, and he works as a dramaturg with the Globe’s playwrights and theatre artists, where he also helps coordinate the Globe’s research mission and curates the Research in Action series of public scholarly workshops. He is the author of <a href="https://www.bloomsbury.com/uk/playing-indoors-9781350109506/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><em>Playing Indoors: Staging Early Modern Drama in the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse</em></a> (Bloomsbury Arden Shakespeare, 2018), and <a href="https://www.palgrave.com/gp/book/9781137494962" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><em>Male Friendship and Testimonies of Love in Shakespeare’s England</em></a> (Palgrave Macmillan, 2016), which revealed the intimate social circle of the Elizabethan spy Anthony Bacon. Will is currently working on a book called <em>Straight Acting: The Many Queer Lives of William Shakespeare</em>, to be published by Sceptre (UK) and Basic (US) in 2023.
